The Mall Marketing Head will spearhead all marketing initiatives aimed at enhancing mall footfall, strengthening brand positioning, and elevating tenant engagement. The role requires strategic planning, execution excellence, and strong leadership to drive continuous growth. You will lead a marketing team of 6-8 members, manage vendors/agencies, and coordinate closely with internal departments and retail partners.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution
Develop and implement annual and quarterly marketing strategies to drive mall footfall and increase customer engagement.
Plan, design, and execute festival campaigns, mall events, and promotional activities tailored to the mall's target audience.
Prepare and manage the annual marketing calendar and budget, ensuring optimum ROI across initiatives.
Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and manage a 6-8 member marketing team including executives, designers, and event coordinators.
Assign roles, review progress, drive performance, and build a high-output, creative, and accountable team culture.
Conduct regular team reviews and provide training to enhance capabilities in digital, event execution, and tenant coordination.
Tenant & Retailer Collaboration
Build and maintain strong working relationships with retailers/tenants to drive joint promotions and store-level activities.
Coordinate with leasing and operations teams to ensure tenant requirements, branding alignment, and promotional support.
Digital Marketing & PR
Oversee digital marketing, social media content, online campaigns, and influencer outreach to increase visibility and engagement.
Work with digital agencies to develop high-impact creatives, performance ads, and real-time content.
Represent the mall in PR campaigns, brand partnerships, local associations, and community engagement initiatives.
Vendor & Agency Management
Coordinate with event companies, production agencies, designers, and creative vendors for seamless execution of campaigns and events.
Ensure quality, timely delivery, and adherence to mall branding guidelines.
Analysis, Reporting & Compliance
Track footfall trends, campaign performance, tenant feedback, and competitor activity to refine strategies.
Ensure all marketing activities comply with mall regulations, legal guidelines, and safety requirements.
Prepare monthly performance reports and MIS for management reviews.
Requirements
Graduate/postgraduate, preferably in Marketing, Communication, Retail Management, or related fields.
8-12 years of experience in mall marketing, retail marketing, events, or a similar customer-facing industry.
Proven experience in leading marketing teams, planning large-scale events, and running integrated digital campaigns.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
Hands-on experience with marketing analytics, budgeting, and performance measurement.
