LOCATION - BURUMBURA, BURUNDI

JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Maize Flour Machine Manager and Operator to oversee and manage the daily operations of Maize Milling Machinery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining milling equipment to ensure efficient and high-quality production of maize flour. This role combines technical operation skills with leadership and production oversight

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

n Operate and manage maize milling machines to produce high-quality flour

n Set up machinery and adjust settings for optimal performance and desired product specifications

n Monitor the milling process and perform routine checks on equipment functionality

n Identify and troubleshoot technical issues to minimize production downtime

n Ensure raw maize is processed according to hygiene and quality standards

n Maintain accurate records of production output, equipment maintenance, and inventory usage

n Perform regular cleaning, servicing, and preventive maintenance of machines

n Ensure compliance with local health, safety, and food quality standards

n Supervise machine operators and assist in their training and development

n Collaborate with the production team to meet output targets and timelines

QUALIFICATIONS:

n High school diploma or equivalent, technical diploma in mechanical or food processing preferred.

n 3+ years of experience in operating & managing maize milling or similar food production machinery.

n Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

n Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality assurance practices

n Ability to work independently and manage a small team of operators

n Basic computer skills for record keeping and machine interface operation

PREFERRED SKILLS:

n Experience with automated milling equipment and control systems

n Understanding of maize quality grading and flour specifications

n Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
