: Maintenance Head
1. Overview:
The Maintenance Head is responsible for overseeing the maintenance department's operations, ensuring the optimal functioning of all machinery and equipment in the facility. The role requires strategic planning, leadership, and a focus on safety and efficiency to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.
2. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies to optimize equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
Lead and manage a team of maintenance personnel, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
Conduct regular inspections and assessments of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues or areas for improvement.
Coordinate and oversee all maintenance activities, including preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations as well as company policies.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, expenditures, and equipment performance to support budget planning and analysis.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of maintenance plans with operational goals.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in maintenance management.
3. Technical Skills:
Proficient in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance software and management systems.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory codes related to maintenance practices.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and operational manuals.
Expertise in root cause analysis and troubleshooting techniques.
4. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in maintenance management or a similar role, with at least 3 years in a supervisory position.
Certification in maintenance management (e.g., CMRP, PMP) is desirable.
