Job Title: Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled

Maintenance Technician

with hands-on experience in

dairy processing equipment

to support plant operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring equipment reliability while maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards.

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma in

Mechanical Engineering

(or related technical field)

3-5 years

of hands-on maintenance experience in

dairy or food manufacturing

environments Strong working knowledge of: Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems PLC-controlled and computer-based equipment HVAC systems (preferred) Experience with dairy process equipment such as

pasteurizers, CIP systems, homogenizers, separators, filling machines, pumps, motors, tanks, and conveyors

Key ResponsibilitiesPreventive Maintenance

Perform scheduled inspections, lubrication, and servicing of all dairy machinery Ensure equipment operates efficiently to prevent unplanned breakdowns
Corrective Maintenance

Diagnose and repair equipment failures including: Electrical systems (wiring, controls, panels) Mechanical components (pumps, valves, seals, bearings) Pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Troubleshooting

Identify root causes of issues in production lines and utility systems Troubleshoot and maintain: Pasteurizers CIP (Clean-in-Place) systems Homogenizers and separators
Food Safety & Hygiene

Ensure all maintenance activities comply with

GMP

and

HACCP

standards Maintain clean, safe equipment and work areas at all times
Documentation

Accurately complete work orders and maintenance logs Record repairs performed, spare parts used, and maintenance history
Production Support

Work closely with production operators to minimize downtime Assist with operator training and equipment calibration Support quality control through proper equipment setup and maintenance
Skills & Competencies

Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, electrical meters, and precision measuring instruments Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to work shifts and respond to emergency breakdowns as needed
