Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician (Diploma Holder) to handle the preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of machinery in a fully mechanised manufacturing setup. The ideal candidate should be hands-on with machine troubleshooting, repair, and documentation, ensuring minimum downtime and smooth production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Preventive Maintenance:

Execute routine preventive maintenance as per the schedule on all mechanical equipment. Maintain checklists and logs of preventive tasks.

Breakdown Maintenance:

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical issues in production machines (e.g., conveyors, compressors, gearboxes, hydraulic systems). Coordinate with the production team to resolve machinery issues promptly.

Machine Installation & Commissioning:

Assist in installation, commissioning, and testing of new machines and mechanical systems.

Spare Management:

Monitor critical spare parts and raise indent for procurement as required. Maintain inventory of mechanical spares and tools.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain maintenance records, service reports, and machine history. Prepare daily maintenance reports and update machine downtime logs.

Safety & Compliance:

Follow standard safety practices and company SOPs during all maintenance activities. Ensure compliance with ISO, 5S, and other factory standards.

Continuous Improvement:

Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for frequent breakdowns. Suggest improvements for machine reliability and performance.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong mechanical aptitude in handling motors, gear drives, and pneumatics. Familiarity with maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Basic computer skills for documentation (MS Excel, maintenance software if applicable).

Qualification:

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

from a recognized institute.

Preferred Industries:

FMCG, Auto Components, Food Processing, Packaging, or any continuous manufacturing setup.

Pay: ?9,836.85 - ?17,000.00 per month
