MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Position Level: Mid-level Technician / Service Specialist
Salary Range: ?22,000 - ?32,000/month + monthly bonus (?2,000-3,000 based on customer satisfaction)
Experience Required: 3-4 years in field service, HVAC maintenance, or equipment service
Reports To: Operations Manager / Senior Installation Technician
Key Responsibilities:
1. Monthly Maintenance Visits:
Execute scheduled monthly maintenance for all active customers
Inspect HEPA filters and pre-filters for condition and replacement needs
Replace filters according to standard maintenance protocol
Inspect blower unit and check for vibrations or unusual sounds
Verify ducting for blockages or damage
Test control systems and thermostat functionality
Record air quality readings (PM2.5 measurements)
Clean and inspect all visible components
2. Customer Interaction:
Communicate professionally with customers during visits
Explain maintenance findings and answer customer questions
Educate customers on filter replacement benefits
Collect feedback on system performance
Document customer issues or concerns
Provide recommendations for additional services (air quality monitoring, deep cleaning)
Maintain neat and organized appearance during customer visits
3. Documentation & Reporting:
Complete maintenance checklist for each visit
Take photos of filters and system components before/after
Record maintenance details in CRM system
Report any technical issues or equipment failures immediately
Prepare maintenance reports for customer billing
Maintain accurate time and mileage logs
4. Parts & Inventory:
Carry required spare parts and filters on each visit
Monitor inventory levels and alert supervisor of shortages
Transport and handle parts carefully
Return unused parts to inventory storage
5. Safety & Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols during customer premises access
Maintain professional behavior and confidentiality
Respect customer property and privacy
Adhere to infection control measures
Report safety concerns to management
Key Skills:

Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
Physical fitness for climbing, lifting
Success Metrics:
Complete 20-25 maintenance visits per month (ramp up to 30-40 by Month 6)
First-call resolution rate: 90%+
Customer satisfaction score: NPS 45+
Parts accuracy: Zero shortages or incorrect parts
Documentation: 100% completion rate on maintenance reports
Safety: Zero safety incidents
Day 1 Priorities: Meet customer service coordinator to understand scheduling system
Review maintenance SOP and checklist procedures
Inspect inventory and parts organization
Meet senior technician to understand system components
Plan route optimization for first customer visits
