Job Description

Supervision and Management:

Lead, train, and evaluate the performance of maintenance staff.

Maintenance Planning and Execution:

Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules, conduct inspections, and address maintenance requests promptly.

Coordination and Communication:

Work with other hospital departments, external vendors, and contractors to coordinate repairs and projects.

Safety and Compliance:

Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, including OSHA standards, and maintain accurate records.

Budget Management:

Manage the maintenance budget, procure necessary tools and supplies, and monitor costs.

Emergency Response:

Respond to emergency maintenance requests and coordinate repairs to minimize disruptions.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities to enhance maintenance processes and implement improvements.
Specific Hospital Context:

Maintaining essential systems:

Ensure the proper functioning of critical systems like oxygen, water, and power supply (generators), including HVAC, medical gas, and other utility systems.

Prioritizing critical repairs:

Address maintenance issues that directly impact patient safety and hospital operations, such as medical equipment malfunctions.

Collaborating with medical staff:

Coordinate with medical staff to schedule maintenance without disrupting patient care.

Ensuring compliance with specific hospital regulations:

Adhere to hospital-specific regulations and standards related to infection control, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
