Minimum 5 years in maintenance of equipment, cranes, forklifts, trailers, or heavy material handling equipment.
Requirements & Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee maintenance, servicing, and repair of all material handling equipment including cranes, forklifts (diesel/electric), trailers, and related machinery.
Supervise a team of technicians and operators, ensuring equipment availability and reliability.
Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
Ensure spare parts planning, inventory control, and vendor coordination for timely repairs.
Maintain maintenance records, checklists, and compliance logs as per statutory requirements.
Train operators and maintenance staff on safe and efficient equipment handling.
Monitor equipment performance and suggest upgrades, replacements, and cost-saving measures.
Enforce strict adherence to safety standards, port regulations, and OEM guidelines.
Work closely with operations team to align maintenance schedules with cargo handling requirements.
Responsible for budgeting, P&L awareness, and cost optimization in maintenance operations.
Qualifications / Skills:
Diploma / Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
Strong technical expertise in material handling equipment.
Hands-on experience in managing maintenance teams at ports / terminals / logistics hubs.
