To lead predictive maintenance activities during the assigned shift, utilizing condition monitoring tools and Industry 4.0 technologies. Responsible for data collection, abnormality detection, and digital maintenance support to prevent unplanned equipment failures.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform scheduled monitoring of equipment using: Thermography (for panels, motors, bearings, heaters), Vibration Analysis (for rotating equipment, fans, blowers, pumps), Oil Condition Analysis (for gearboxes, hydraulic systems), Grease Quality Monitoring (sampling and lab coordination)
Identify potential faults (misalignment, looseness, overheating, contamination, etc.) and report early warnings.
Ensure routine data collection and logging from condition monitoring equipment.
Follow SOPs for sensor-based and manual diagnostic methods.
Support root cause analysis (RCA) using predictive insights.
Escalate critical equipment risk findings and coordinate for planned corrective action.
Operate and support digital CMMS systems and dashboards.
Upload sensor data and trend graphs to cloud or edge-based platforms.
Coordinate with IoT and IT teams for data accuracy, connectivity, and alert configuration.
Support rollout of Industry 4.0 initiatives like: Predictive health scoring Smart maintenance scheduling, Automated notification/escalation system
Guide technicians and data collectors during shift-based monitoring tasks.
Ensure timely data logging, proper tool usage, and safety practices.
Conduct shift handover briefings and review pending tasks.
Update daily/weekly reports for each predictive discipline.
Maintain logs of identified abnormalities, recommendations, and corrective actions taken.
Support audit records for TPM, ISO, etc.
Coordinate with breakdown teams, equipment owners, and reliability engineers.
Support planning and scheduling of predictive-driven shutdown maintenance activities.
Work with suppliers and third-party labs for oil/grease analysis reports.
Competencies / Skills:
Functional/Technical:
Thermography camera usage and thermal image interpretation
Vibration analyzer (e.g., Fluke, SKF, Emerson) data reading and frequency domain analysis
Oil and grease sampling procedures, ISO cleanliness code understanding
Digital tools: CMMS, Excel dashboards, basic Power BI/IoT interface (if applicable)
Familiarity with PLCs, motors, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, and fans
Safety-first mindset and technical discipline
Basic documentation, root cause analysis, and communication
Certification in vibration analysis / thermography (Level 1 or higher) is preferred
* Exposure to Industry 4.0 predictive tools is a strong advantage
