Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer to oversee the maintenance operations of our manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mechanical systems and breakdown maintenance for a range of equipment, including tube mills, pilger mills, cranes, DG sets, panels, welding machines, furnaces, boilers, hydro-pickling systems, ETP, and more. The candidate should be capable of managing maintenance tasks independently, ensuring minimal downtime, and optimizing machinery performance to reduce operational costs.
Key Responsibilities:
Breakdown Maintenance:
Diagnose and repair issues in machinery to ensure minimal downtime and efficient plant operations.
Equipment Management:
Oversee the upkeep of critical plant equipment such as tube mills, pilger mills, cranes, DG sets, panels, welding machines, furnaces, boilers, hydro-pickling systems, and ETP systems.
Preventive Maintenance:
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure long-term reliability of plant equipment.
Operational Optimization:
Analyse equipment performance and suggest modifications or optimizations to improve efficiency and reduce breakdowns.
Cost Reduction:
Identify areas where maintenance processes can be improved to reduce overall costs related to repairs and downtime.
Technical Support:
Provide technical support to production and engineering teams for troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations while maintaining and operating equipment.
Inventory Management:
Ensure the availability of required spare parts and materials for timely repairs and maintenance.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, including repair history, parts used, and work orders.
Skills:
Technical Skills:
Proficient in maintenance of tube mills, pilger mills, cranes, DG sets, welding machines, furnaces, boilers, hydro-pickling systems, and ETP.
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
Expertise in troubleshooting and breakdown maintenance.
Knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance techniques.
Analytical Skills:
Ability to analyse machinery performance and suggest improvements to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Problem-Solving:
Strong ability to quickly assess and solve mechanical issues under pressure.
