Oversee daily maintenance operations for reefer containers at Uran depot.
Ensure depot is fully equipped with tools, refrigerants, spares, and technician readiness.
Manage workflow for corrective jobs, preventive maintenance, and PTIs (Pre-Trip Inspections).
Maintain depot safety and compliance standards.
Complaint & Technical Handling
Assess complaints, define TAT, and determine spare requirements.
Troubleshoot complex reefer technical issues and support technicians with guidance.
Approve warranty vs. paid service classifications where ambiguous.
Act as the technical escalation point for clients and technicians.
Technician Management
Assign and supervise technicians for reefer jobs and PTIs.
Monitor checklist adherence, job quality, and SLA compliance.
Organize quarterly technical training and upskilling workshops.
Conduct performance reviews and coach technicians to improve efficiency.
Procurement & Inventory Control
Approve Purchase Orders for reefer spare parts and consumables.
Verify GRNs with Inventory Coordinator and monitor spare returns.
Track spare usage, refrigerant consumption, and tool calibration.
Client & Business Coordination
Review completed job orders and prepare service reports for clients.
Confirm job closure and issue closure communications.
Coordinate billing, invoicing, and cost summaries with accounts.
Ensure AMC contracts are tracked and prioritized.
Performance & Audit Oversight
Conduct monthly audits of service records for compliance and quality.
Share monthly and quarterly service performance reports with senior management.
Drive continuous improvement in depot service delivery.
Requirements
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
7-10 years' experience in reefer container service & maintenance, with at least 3-4 years in a leadership/managerial role.
Deep technical expertise in reefer systems (Carrier, Thermo King, Daikin, Star Cool).
Proven track record in depot or workshop management for reefer containers.
Knowledge of PTI standards, reefer alarms, refrigerants, temperature calibration, and spare part lifecycle.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in ERP/service management tools and reporting systems.
