Job Description

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the hospital's maintenance operations, ensuring the efficient and safe functioning of all facilities, equipment, and systems. This role involves managing a team of technicians, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and implementing preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement maintenance procedures, ensuring proper execution. Conduct regular facility inspections to identify and resolve maintenance issues. Maintain and troubleshoot electric control panels, HVAC systems, transformers, and LT/HT panels. Operate and maintain the 320KVA DG set, CCTV, LAN cables, and PA systems. Ensure proper functioning of fire alarms, hydrant systems, RO plants, ETP, and STP operations. Address all electrical issues, including power boards, fans, lights, heaters, and autoclave maintenance. Maintain telephone lines, EPABX systems, and manage telephone connections. Inspect and maintain UPS systems, stabilizers, batteries, and voltage output. Provide entry-level support for split ACs, AHUs, and ducted ACs. Perform maintenance on compressors, oxygen and suction points, flow meters, and oxygen cylinder manifold systems. Oversee the maintenance of OT auto doors, biomedical machines, and water pumps. Ensure proper upkeep of patient wheelchairs, stretchers, beds, plumbing, and furniture. Maintain lifts, water tanks, electrical solar systems, and solar water heaters. Monitor material consumption and manage equipment replacement and condemnation processes. Enhance staff knowledge and skills through targeted training and development programs. Conduct regular training sessions for user departments to improve maintenance efficiency. Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and implement rapid solutions to minimize disruption.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field. Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of hospital systems and equipment, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and medical equipment. Ability to manage a team and work under pressure. Proficiency in maintenance management software and budgeting tools.
