Overview :
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing all maintenance activities to ensure efficient equipment performance, minimal downtime, and adherence to safety and quality standards. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production goals.
Job Responsibilities :
Plan, organize and review maintenance schedules, shift working and related activities within the department.
Advise on relevant maintenance updating.
Monitor and control maintenance standards within the department.
Ensure the department meets established budget requirements.
Interview and select staff as per plant requirement.
Ensure effective staff training, discipline, and motivation.
Investigate and resolve technical problems in conjunction with concerned teams.
Establish planned services with the production department.
Advise contracted technical staff where appropriate.
Keep abreast of and advise management on technical developments.
Control and minimize wastage within the department.
Organize own work schedules and ensure availability to match production requirements.
Ensure all company policies are fully implemented, especially hygiene, health, and safety.
Review methods of operation and working practices; recommend improvements.
Encourage harmonious working relationships and ensure effective communication.
Review maintenance staff yearly and advise on training needs.
Perform other duties as necessary for effective role performance.
Job Requirements :
Diploma/BE in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical or related field).
Minimum 10 years of experience in the maintenance department within the engineering or automotive industry.
Proven experience in a managerial role.
Strong understanding of maintenance processes, systems, and industrial equipment.
Experience working with Quality Systems such as ISO, TQM, TS, etc.
Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and technical knowledge.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
Must be a resident of Goa or currently based in Goa.
