The Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the resort's maintenance operations to ensure the safety, functionality, and presentation of all facilities, equipment, and infrastructure. This role oversees preventive and corrective maintenance, coordinates with contractors and vendors, manages the maintenance team, and ensures compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, supervise, and coordinate the day-to-day maintenance operations of the resort, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
Implement preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment, machinery, guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption to guests.
Ensure all maintenance work is carried out safely and complies with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, equipment logs, and inventory.
Manage budgets for repairs, maintenance supplies, and contractor services.
Supervise and train the maintenance team, ensuring high performance and adherence to safety protocols.
Coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance or major repairs.
Conduct regular inspections of resort premises to identify areas needing attention.
Oversee energy conservation initiatives and implement measures to improve efficiency.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements related to building codes, fire safety, and environmental laws.
Provide technical support and input to resort management for capital projects and renovations.
Key Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil) or related field.
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of maintenance systems, equipment, and preventive maintenance programs.
Hands-on experience with electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and team management skills.
Ability to manage budgets and control costs.
Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with vendors and contractors.
Familiarity with local safety regulations, building codes, and statutory compliance requirements.
Flexible to work on-call, during weekends, and in emergencies as required.
