The Maintenance Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all maintenance activities within the SS Hyundai service facility. The role ensures optimal functioning of workshop equipment, tools, infrastructure, and utilities while maintaining safety, quality, and Hyundai operational standards.
Ensure regular maintenance of workshop equipment, machinery, tools, lifts, compressors, and diagnostic systems.
Monitor building infrastructure including electrical systems, water supply, air-conditioning, and safety equipment.
Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimize breakdowns and downtime.
Vendor & Inventory Management
Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for equipment servicing, repairs, and AMC contracts.
Maintain records of maintenance activities, service logs, and spare parts usage.
Ensure availability of essential maintenance materials and consumables.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with Hyundai guidelines, safety standards, and statutory regulations.
Implement workplace safety practices and ensure proper functioning of fire-fighting and emergency systems.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of the workshop and premises.
Team Supervision
Supervise maintenance staff and technicians involved in facility upkeep.
Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and provide guidance to the team.
Coordinate with service advisors, floor in-charges, and workshop managers for smooth operations.
Cost Control & Reporting
Prepare maintenance budgets and control expenses.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and safety.
Submit regular maintenance reports to management.
Qualifications & Skills
Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field.
Minimum
3-5 years
experience in maintenance management (automobile dealership experience preferred).
Strong knowledge of workshop equipment, electrical systems, and facility management.
Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with Hyundai dealership standards is an added advantage.
