The Maintenance Manager is responsible for planning, supervising, and executing all maintenance operations to ensure the smooth functioning, safety, and reliability of all facilities, rides, equipment, and infrastructure. The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, team leadership, vendor coordination, safety compliance, and resource management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintenance Operations
Plan, schedule, and oversee daily maintenance activities (mechanical, electrical, and civil).
Ensure smooth functioning of all rides, equipment, machinery, utilities, and facilities.
Conduct timely preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize breakdowns.
Monitor and troubleshoot machinery issues and ensure quick resolution.
2. Team Leadership
Lead, guide, and supervise the maintenance team (technicians, electricians, mechanics).
Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure work quality.
Conduct training sessions to enhance technical skills and safety awareness.
3. Safety & Compliance
Ensure all maintenance activities follow safety standards and statutory guidelines.
Maintain safety records, checklists, and documentation.
Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
4. Vendor & Contractor Coordination
Coordinate with external vendors for repairs, AMC services, and procurement of parts.
Evaluate vendor performance and ensure timely delivery of services/materials.
5. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain logs for maintenance activities, breakdown records, and equipment performance.
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly maintenance reports for management review.
Track spare parts inventory and raise purchase requests as needed.
6. Budget & Resource Management
Manage maintenance budgets, resource allocation, and material usage.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
Qualifications
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 3-7 years of experience in maintenance management (preferably in amusement parks, manufacturing units, hospitality, or similar industries).
Strong knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems, equipment maintenance, and safety protocols.
Good leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
Hands-on experience with ride maintenance (if applicable).
Knowledge of CMMS or maintenance management software.
Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency breakdowns.
