The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all installation, repair, and upkeep operations of the resort's facilities and equipment. This includes managing maintenance staff, ensuring safe and efficient operations, and maintaining the aesthetics and functionality of the resort to provide a seamless guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities across the resort.
Conduct regular inspections of resort buildings, guest rooms, equipment, and systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs.
Supervise a team of maintenance technicians and contractors, ensuring tasks are completed safely and on time.
Manage budgets and resources for maintenance projects.
Respond quickly to maintenance emergencies or issues affecting guest satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Maintain records of equipment, warranties, inspections, and maintenance history.
Coordinate with other departments (Housekeeping, F&B, Front Office) for smooth resort operations.
Assist with capital improvement projects and renovations as needed.
Source and manage relationships with vendors and service providers.
Qualifications & Skills:
Proven experience (5+ years) as a Maintenance Manager or similar role in hospitality or facilities management.
Degree or diploma in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field preferred.
Strong knowledge of technical systems (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.).
Excellent leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve under pressure.
Strong understanding of health & safety practices.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Computer literacy (CMMS, MS Office).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in various environmental conditions (indoor/outdoor, hot/cold).
Physically able to stand, walk, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and on-call as needed.
Preferred Experience:
Previous experience in a luxury resort or hotel setting.
Certifications in HVAC, electrical systems, or facility management (e.g., CFM, PMP, OSHA).
