Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of buildings, wards, OPDs, ICUs, and non-clinical areas
Ensure plumbing, carpentry, painting, civil works, and general repairs are done on time

Ensure compliance with NABH/JCI, fire safety, and local statutory requirements
Conduct routine safety inspections and risk assessments
Budget & inventory
Control maintenance costs
Manage spare parts, tools, and vendor coordination
Emergency response
Lead maintenance response during breakdowns, disasters, or critical failures

Electrician In-Charge - Hospital
The Electrician In-Charge is responsible for uninterrupted, safe, and compliant electrical power supply across the hospital.
Key Responsibilities
Power supply management
Ensure 24/7 electrical supply to critical areas (ICU, OT, emergency, labs)
Monitor load distribution and power quality
Electrical systems maintenance
Maintain HT/LT panels, transformers, DG sets, UPS, inverters, and earthing systems
Inspect and repair lighting, wiring, switchgear, and socket points
Preventive maintenance
Implement scheduled checks of generators, UPS, battery banks, and critical feeders
Maintain electrical logs and testing records
Emergency handling
Immediate response to power failures, short circuits, and equipment faults
Ensure seamless DG and UPS changeover
Safety & compliance
Enforce electrical safety practices and lock-out/tag-out procedures
Ensure compliance with electrical inspectorate, fire norms, and hospital policies
Team supervision
Supervise electricians and technicians
Train staff on safe operations and troubleshooting
Energy management
Monitor power consumption and suggest energy-saving measures
