Job Title: Maintenance Fitter Key Responsibilities

Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance:

Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing machinery and production lines such as mixers, filling lines, and packaging machines to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.

Fault Diagnosis & Repair:

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical faults, and handle basic electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues by identifying root causes and implementing timely, effective solutions.

Equipment Installation & Commissioning:

Assemble, install, align, and commission new machinery and equipment in accordance with technical specifications and company standards.

Fabrication & Machining:

Fabricate or modify replacement parts using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and welding equipment as required.

Safety & Compliance:

Strictly adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

Maintenance Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, breakdowns, and spare parts usage using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Coordinate with production, quality, and engineering teams to plan maintenance schedules, resolve technical issues, and optimize equipment performance.

Continuous Improvement:

Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment efficiency and safety, and recommend improvements to enhance machine reliability, performance, and lifespan.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education:

ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certification in Fitter Trade or an equivalent technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience:

Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter or Mechanic in a manufacturing environment. Experience in FMCG, pharmaceutical, or cosmetic industries is highly preferred.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
