The Maintenance Executive is responsible for the preventive, breakdown, and routine maintenance of company trucks and trailers. The role ensures all vehicles are roadworthy, compliant with transport regulations, and maintained to minimize downtime and repair costs.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily maintenance and servicing of trucks, trailers, and other heavy vehicles.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
Schedule and monitor preventive maintenance (PM) and periodic servicing.
Coordinate with workshops, spare parts vendors, and service centers for repairs.
Maintain detailed records of vehicle maintenance, parts replacement, and fuel usage.
Inspect vehicles before dispatch and after arrival to ensure operational safety.
Track and monitor breakdown cases and ensure quick resolution to avoid delivery delays.
Monitor tyre condition, alignment, battery health, and engine performance.
Ensure compliance with RTO, fitness certificates, pollution control, and insurance renewals.
Prepare maintenance reports and submit cost analysis to management.
Ensure workshop area safety and proper usage of tools, equipment, and spares.
