Key Responsibilities:

Supervising and coordinating maintenance activities:

This involves scheduling routine inspections, managing maintenance staff, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations.

Developing and implementing maintenance strategies:

This includes creating preventative maintenance programs and strategies to improve reliability and minimize downtime.

Managing repairs and upkeep:

This includes handling both routine maintenance tasks and addressing emergency repair issues promptly.

Managing maintenance budgets:

This involves optimizing operational effectiveness and ensuring that maintenance work is completed within budget and on time.

Ensuring compliance with safety regulations:

This includes conducting safety inspections and ensuring that all maintenance activities adhere to relevant regulations and standards.

Managing and mentoring maintenance staff:

This may involve training junior staff, assessing performance, and providing guidance.

Maintaining records of maintenance activities:

This includes keeping track of work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory of spare parts.

Collaborating with other departments:

This involves working with other departments to identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.

Handling emergency maintenance requests:

This requires a prompt and efficient response to resolve issues quickly.

Overseeing the upkeep of physical assets:

This includes the building, office space, or machinery, depending on the organization.
Qualifications:

Education:

A bachelor's degree in a relevant field like engineering (mechanical, electrical, or industrial) may be preferred, but some employers accept candidates with relevant technical certifications or experience.

Experience:

Previous experience in a maintenance management or supervisory role is typically required.

Skills:

Strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure are essential.

Knowledge:

Knowledge of maintenance management principles, safety regulations, and relevant equipment and systems is crucial.
