Job Title - Maintenance Technician (Electrical Diploma)

Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician (Electrical) is responsible for ensuring smooth operation of electrical systems, machinery, and equipment within the facility. This role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical components to minimize downtime and support efficient production.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, machines, and equipment. Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement corrective actions promptly. Assist in installation of new electrical equipment and wiring. Maintain records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, and repairs. Ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical codes. Support production teams by minimizing equipment downtime. Monitor and maintain inventory of electrical tools, spare parts, and consumables. Collaborate with mechanical and production teams for integrated maintenance solutions. Report recurring issues and suggest improvements for long-term reliability.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and industrial machinery. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and manuals. Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and repairing electrical faults. Familiarity with safety standards and preventive maintenance practices. Good problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Qualifications

Diploma in Electrical Engineering (mandatory). 1-3 years of experience in electrical maintenance preferred. Fresh diploma holders with strong technical knowledge may also apply.

Work Environment

Factory/plant-based role with exposure to machinery and electrical systems. Requires adherence to strict safety protocols and use of protective equipment. May involve shift work and extended hours during breakdowns or urgent repairs.
