Post Name - Maintenance Engineer

Qualification - Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical

Experience - 2 to 5 years

Salary - 16000 to 20000 per month

Key Responsibilities:

Preventive Maintenance:

Perform scheduled maintenance on CNC VMC machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and adjustment of mechanical and electrical components. Inspect machine parts for wear and tear, replacing parts as necessary. Replace worn-out components like bearings, belts, ball screws, and linear guides. Check and calibrate machine tool alignments, ensuring precision and accuracy.

Troubleshooting & Repairs:

Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software issues in CNC VMC machines. Repair or replace malfunctioning components such as motors, sensors, and controllers. Maintain and troubleshoot CNC software and control systems to ensure machine operation.

Machine Calibration & Alignment:

Ensure machines are properly calibrated and aligned for optimal machining accuracy. Set up and verify machine parameters before production runs.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and part replacements. Track machine performance and provide regular reports on machine status to the production manager.

Continuous Improvement:

Suggest improvements to machine maintenance schedules and workflows. Collaborate with engineering teams to implement machine enhancements and updates.

Skills and Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent. Technical degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field is preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of [X] years of experience maintaining CNC machines, specifically VMCs. Strong understanding of CNC programming, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems. Experience with troubleshooting and repairing VMC machine controllers (e.g., Siemens, Fanuc, or Heidenhain).

Technical Skills:

Expertise in CNC VMC machine components, systems, and controls. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including drives, motors, and bearings. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and machine schematics. Familiarity with precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, dial indicators, and laser alignment tools).

Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Excellent communication and reporting skills.

Working Conditions:

Ability to lift heavy machine parts and tools (up to 50 lbs). Exposure to machining environments, noise, and mechanical components. Ability to work in shifts, including nights or weekends, as required.
