Role Overview

:

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of electronic manufacturing equipment, systems, and processes. This includes troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and supporting production teams to achieve optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance

Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment such as SMT machines, wave soldering systems, reflow ovens, and testing equipment. Monitor and optimize equipment performance to minimize downtime and enhance efficiency. Maintain calibration and service records of all production equipment.

Troubleshooting

Diagnose and resolve technical issues in equipment and production lines promptly. Investigate equipment failures and implement corrective actions to avoid recurrence.

Preventive Maintenance

Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules. Ensure all equipment is compliant with safety and operational standards.
4.

Process Improvement

Collaborate with production and quality teams to identify and implement improvements in processes and equipment. Suggest upgrades or new equipment to enhance productivity.
5.

Documentation and Compliance

Maintain detailed logs and documentation of all maintenance activities. Ensure adherence to ISO standards and other industry-specific regulations.
6.

Spare Parts and Inventory Management

Monitor and manage the inventory of spare parts and consumables. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for the timely procurement of parts.
7.

Safety and Training

Promote and enforce workplace safety standards and practices. Provide training to operators and production staff on proper equipment use and handling.

Skills and Qualifications

Educational Requirements

:

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Technical Skills

:

Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electronic circuits and systems. Knowledge of PLCs, automation systems, and industrial control systems. Experience with tools like multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic equipment. Familiarity with industry standards like IPC, ISO 9001, or ISO 14001.

Soft Skills

:

Strong problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
