Installation:
Installing new electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment according to blueprints and schematics.
Maintenance:
Performing routine and preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent failures.
Repair:
Diagnosing and repairing electrical malfunctions, including troubleshooting issues with wiring, circuits, and components.
Testing:
Using testing devices like voltmeters, ohmmeters, and oscilloscopes to evaluate electrical systems and components.
Safety:
Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and standards, including those set by OSHA and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Troubleshooting:
Identifying and resolving complex electrical problems in various systems and equipment.
Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
Specific Tasks
Maintaining and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
Performing preventative maintenance on both electrical and mechanical systems.
Installing and maintaining wires, cables, circuit breakers, and fixtures.
Working with switchboards.
Inspecting electrical systems and components.
