Job Description

Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance of hospital electrical systems. Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices, and hospital equipment. Ensure proper functioning of backup power systems such as generators, UPS, and inverters. Respond promptly to breakdown calls or emergency maintenance requests. Maintain records of electrical maintenance and repairs performed. Ensure all electrical installations comply with hospital safety protocols and statutory regulations. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues with minimal disruption to patient care services. Coordinate with external vendors and service providers when required. Assist in the installation of new electrical equipment and renovation projects. Maintain inventory of electrical supplies and request stock as needed. Follow hospital infection control and fire safety guidelines while performing tasks. Report hazards, incidents, or accidents related to electrical work immediately. Provide support during NABH audits related to facility and electrical compliance.

Qualifications:

ITI/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 2-5 years of experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare facility. Valid electrical license (as per local/state regulations).
