Senior Electrician - Maintenance Department

(HVAC, HT/LT Panels, Utilities & Plant Electrical Systems)

A. Core Electrical Maintenance

Ensure safe operation and maintenance of

HT & LT electrical systems

, transformers, VCB panels, MCC panels, PCC panels, and distribution boards. Perform

preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance

of all electrical equipment. Diagnose and rectify complex electrical faults with minimum downtime. Ensure proper earthing systems, lightning arresters, and power factor improvement systems. Supervise energy consumption and suggest energy-saving initiatives.

B. HVAC & Utilities Electrical Systems

Maintain electrical components of

HVAC systems

(AHUs, chillers, cooling towers, exhaust & ventilation systems). Monitor motors, VFDs, starters, control panels, sensors, and thermostats. Coordinate with HVAC vendors for major repairs and AMC activities. Ensure uninterrupted power supply to temperature-controlled and critical production areas.

C. HT Line & External Electrical Infrastructure

Oversee

HT line operations

, sub-station equipment, and electrical yard safety. Coordinate with

electricity board / DISCOM

for shutdowns, inspections, and compliance. Ensure proper operation of transformers, isolators, CT/PT, protection relays, and meters. Maintain statutory records and ensure compliance with electrical inspectorate norms.

D. Safety, Compliance & Documentation

Ensure strict adherence to

electrical safety rules, LOTO procedures, and PPE usage

. Conduct safety briefings and toolbox talks for maintenance staff. Ensure compliance with

Factory Act, Electricity Rules, ISO/FSSC/USFDA safety standards

(as applicable). Maintain maintenance logs, checklists, breakdown reports, and preventive maintenance schedules.

E. Team Leadership & Training

Supervise junior electricians and contract technicians. Guide, mentor, and train juniors in safe electrical practices. Allocate work, verify job completion, and ensure quality workmanship. Coordinate with production, QA, and utility departments for smooth operations.
2? Junior Electrician - Maintenance Department

(ITI - Electrical Trade Fresher)

A. Basic Electrical Maintenance Support

Assist senior electricians in routine electrical maintenance work. Carry out basic wiring, cable dressing, termination, and panel housekeeping. Replace electrical components such as switches, sockets, lamps, fuses, and MCBs. Support breakdown maintenance under supervision.

B. Panel & Equipment Assistance

Assist in maintenance of

LT panels, MCC panels, lighting panels

, and motor control systems. Perform visual inspection of panels for overheating, loose connections, and abnormalities. Help in motor lubrication, cleaning, and alignment work as instructed.

C. HVAC & Utility Assistance

Support electrical work related to HVAC systems such as fans, exhaust systems, blowers, and control panels. Assist in monitoring temperature control equipment and power supply to utilities. Help in minor troubleshooting under guidance.

D. Safety & Good Housekeeping

Follow all electrical safety rules and instructions of seniors. Use PPE like gloves, safety shoes, helmet, and insulated tools. Maintain cleanliness and proper tool handling at the workplace. Report unsafe conditions, abnormalities, or incidents immediately.

E. Learning & Skill Development

Learn electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and equipment manuals. Gain hands-on exposure to HT/LT systems, HVAC electricals, and industrial utilities. Participate in safety training, toolbox talks, and skill-upgradation programs. Show willingness to learn and grow into higher responsibility roles.

Maintain discipline, punctuality, and professional conduct. Ensure zero electrical accidents and near-miss reporting. Support emergency maintenance and shutdown activities. Work in shifts, extended hours, or holidays when required. Protect company assets and maintain confidentiality of technical systems.
