Job Summary
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, reliability, and safety of machinery, equipment, and facilities. This role involves preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and improve operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine preventive and breakdown maintenance on machines, equipment, and utilities
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults
Plan and execute maintenance schedules to reduce unplanned downtime
Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations
Maintain records of maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and equipment history
Coordinate with production, quality, and engineering teams
Supervise technicians and contractors when required
Manage spare parts inventory and recommend replacements or upgrades
Support installation, commissioning, and modification of equipment
Implement continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives
Qualifications
Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Maintenance Engineering
Relevant technical certifications are an advantage
Skills & Competencies
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems
Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance practices
Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
Good communication and teamwork skills
Basic computer skills (CMMS, MS Excel, reporting)
Experience
2-5 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, industrial, or facility environments
Experience with PLCs, automation, or utility systems is a plus
Working Conditions
May require shift work, on-call duty, or weekend support
Exposure to industrial environments and machinery
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹9,846.01 - ₹45,380.72 per month
