automation frameworks
, with the ability to analyze requirements, design test cases, and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform
mainframe testing
of applications developed in COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
Design, execute, and maintain
manual test cases
and
test data
for mainframe systems.
Develop and maintain
automation test scripts
using
Java and Selenium
.
Work closely with development, business analysts, and QA teams to ensure high-quality delivery.
Analyze system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g., defect densities and open defect counts).
Participate in test planning, estimation, and status reporting.
Perform
integration, system, and regression testing
.
Identify, log, and track defects using tools like
JIRA
or
Quality Center
.
Key Skills Required:Must-Have:
Strong experience in
Mainframe Testing
Hands-on with
COBOL
,
JCL
, and
DB2
Good knowledge of
Test Case Design, Test Planning, and Execution
Strong SQL knowledge and data validation on DB2 databases
Good exposure to batch jobs and file testing
Proficiency in
Java + Selenium
for automation testing
Good to Have:
Experience with automation frameworks like TestNG, Maven, or Cucumber
Experience in tools like JIRA, HP ALM, Jenkins, Git
Exposure to Agile methodology
Experience in Banking/Financial/Insurance domain is a plus
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
