Computer Operators at Kyndryl are key in helping revolutionize the way we operate complex computer systems. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, supervise and control intricate networks and applications, and operate distributed systems in a multi-vendor environment.
As a Computer Operator you will be on the technical frontline performing batch operations as per service agreements, analyzing first-level issues across systems, and resolving/routing issues as appropriate. You will also have the opportunity to develop support system management processes specific to customer requirements, ensuring that we provide the highest level of service to our customers.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 5+ Years of Experience in Supporting and maintaining the Scheduling Platform, running on IZWS (OPC)(both TSO and GUI versions) on IZWS (OPC)scheduling Mainframe z/OS
  • Knowledge on code promotion and maintaining libraries.
  • Awareness of functionality of IZWS (OPC)Scheduling on Distributed - VMWare, Windows & Linux Servers
Perform scheduling work in a version 20 or 21 IZWS (OPC)environment. * Participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and represent the Production Control team.
  • Perform in-depth Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and support Problem Management activities.
  • Work closely with various Application support, Development, and z/OS Support teams for their batch scheduling requirements
  • Expertise in Job Control Language (JCL) and job abend codes.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
  • Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Sound hands-on experience as a Batch Job Scheduler (Production Control Analyst) working in Mainframe environments.
  • Scheduling experience on Mainframe Scheduler tool IZWS (OPC)(TSO and GUI versions)
  • Troubleshooting experience - job failures, hung jobs, and remote agent and resource issues, etc.
  • Design and implementation of schedule definitions for new batch projects per project requirements
  • Perform activities such as Batch Forecasting during BCP / Disaster Recovery / Maintenance situations.
  • Communicate effectively and consistently with all levels of the organization and work independently without direct supervision.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Managing delivery to contract performance standards and client measurements.
