Experian Consumer Information Services (CIS) is looking for .Net Developers in Hyderabad, India to work alongside our UK colleagues to deliver business outcomes for the UK&I region.

Background:

This is an incredibly exciting time for the Experian UKI Region, as we look to build our presence out in Hyderabad and embark on a technology transformation programme to meet our global aspiration to significantly scale our business over the next five years. This an opportunity to join us on this journey and be part of a collaborative team that uses Agile DevSecOps principles to deliver business value.

By way of background, CIS currently comprises of 27 engineering teams who deliver over 70 products achieving $250m revenue per annum.

The Role:

Acquisitions & Originations is Experian's largest product domain. A&O is the core of what Experian does: helping organisations perform ID, credit and affordability checks on new customers. Our market leading products deliver data to our clients ensuring reliability, securing, accuracy and value. We have been doing this for over 30 years for the majority of the UKs major lenders and financial institutions, it is key to them running their business successfully. Our clients demand market leading products, data and technology which we deliver through continued enhancement and innovation.

The role will involve joining a dedicated team working on a range of client-led projects to provide data solutions and in-hours client operational support. The role also requires a close working relationship with offshore colleagues by providing them with technical leadership, the wider Experian network and support teams to manage the resolution of issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Proven ability to work as part of a team to develop complex enterprise grade software solution

Strong coding and data analysis / programming skills across the whole software development lifecycle (design/specification through to implementation)

Able to work to and create products that adhere to, required technical standards and follow appropriate process to ensure accurate deliveries

Knowledge of working in a quality environment, where all outputs are peer reviewed and validated prior to distribution

Ability to plan and manage own work against required delivery milestones

Good problem solving and analytical skills

Strong communication skills as this is a client facing role

A demonstrated team player

Knowledge of the whole software development lifecycle with a good understanding of at least one development methodology (such as waterfall/Agile)

Experience of working with third parties

Qualifications

Required Technical Skills/Knowledge

3+ Years experience in mainframe development technologies such as CICS, VSAM, COBOL, DB2, JCL, File Aid, Changeman, AbendAid

Proven experience in design, coding, testing and debugging of mainframe technologies

A coding assessment will be requested for all applicants invited to interview

Preferred Technical Skills/Knowledge

Knowledge of distributed technology or cloud technologies

Experience

In-depth experience of the software development lifecycle

A strong sense of ownership and responsibility around the products and services we deliver.

Experience working in a Continuous Delivery cycle

Implemented and used a variety of automated testing approaches and techniques

Working in a variety of software development practices including waterfall and agile approaches
