Job Summary

The CRGO Lamination Machine Operator will operate and monitor machines used for cutting, forming, and stacking CRGO (Cold Rolled Grain Oriented) electrical steel laminations used in transformer core manufacturing. The candidate will be trained on machine operations, quality checks, and basic maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation

Operate CRGO lamination cutting, slitting, and stacking machines as per standard procedures. Set machine parameters according to production drawings and instructions. Monitor machine performance and ensure smooth, continuous operation during production shifts.

Production & Quality

Inspect raw materials (CRGO coils/sheets) before processing. Perform dimensional checks using measuring tools (vernier caliper, micrometer, gauges). Ensure laminations meet required tolerances, quality standards, and design specifications. Identify defects such as burr, rough edges, misalignment, or incorrect cutting and report immediately.

Maintenance & Safety

Perform routine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance of the machine. Follow safety protocols, PPE requirements, and shop-floor discipline. Assist maintenance team during machine breakdowns or troubleshooting.

Documentation

Maintain production logs, QC check sheets, and daily machine reports. Record coil usage, scrap generation, and output quantities accurately.

Collaboration

Coordinate with supervisors, quality team, and maintenance staff to meet production targets. Support continuous improvement activities such as 5S and Kaizen.

Skills & Competencies

Basic knowledge of mechanical machines, sheet-metal operations, or manufacturing processes. Understanding of engineering drawings (preferred). Ability to handle measuring tools and follow SOPs. Good observation, attention to detail, and willingness to learn. Ability to work in shifts and in a fast-paced production environment.
