Job Location - Taloja , Navi Mumbai

The Machine Operator is responsible for safely operating, monitoring, adjusting, and maintaining manufacturing equipment used in the production of herbal products (e.g., herbal extracts, capsules, powders, drying machinery, packing machines, etc.). The role ensures high-quality output, compliance with safety and quality standards, and efficient production processes.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation & Production

Operate herbal processing and production machines according to standard operating procedures (SOPs). Set up, calibrate, and adjust machines before and during production runs. Monitor machine performance and product parameters (speed, temperature, weights, moisture levels, etc.) to ensure quality and efficiency. Load raw materials (e.g., herbs, powders, extracts) into machines and unload finished products safely. Conduct routine quality checks to verify products meet specifications and report deviations.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

Perform routine preventive maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure smooth operations. Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs. Maintain machinery hygiene per GMP and safety guidelines.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate production logs, machine data, batch records, and quality check reports. Report any machine malfunctions, quality deviations, or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.

Safety, Housekeeping & Compliance

Follow all safety and hygiene protocols including PPE usage. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the production area. Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO/SOP standards relevant to herbal production.

Teamwork

Communicate effectively with production team, quality, and maintenance departments. Support team goals and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & SkillsEducation

Minimum: Secondary School (10 + 2) or equivalent. Preferred: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Food Processing, or related field.

Experience

Minimum 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing or machine operation, preferably in herbal, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or FMCG industries.
