Job Description

General Duties:

Set up and operate assigned machines as per production requirements. Follow engineering drawings, process sheets, and work instructions. Conduct first-piece and in-process inspection using precision instruments. Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments. Complete production logs and inspection records accurately. Maintain workplace safety and cleanliness (5S standards). Communicate machine issues or quality concerns to the supervisor promptly.

Machine-Specific Operations:

Honing Machine:

Operate and adjust honing tools to meet bore size, finish, and geometric tolerance.

Grinding Machine:

Carry out surface and cylindrical grinding; maintain tight tolerances and finish quality.

Brazing Machine:

Perform metal joining using torch or furnace brazing processes; follow correct heating cycles and material preparation.

Ball Staking Machine:

Operate ball staking systems for assembly applications ensuring proper fit and load.

UTM (Universal Testing Machine):

Prepare test specimens and conduct tensile, compressive, or flexural strength tests as needed.

EMILL (End Milling Machine):

Set up and perform milling operations using conventional or semi-automatic milling machines.

Laser Marking Machine:

Execute marking operations as per design specifications and ensure readability of serial numbers/logos.

EDM (Electrical Discharge Machine):

Operate wire cut or sinker EDMs for producing complex precision components in hard materials.
