Operate and monitor the Trotec SP 500 laser cutting and engraving machine.
Set up the machine parameters (speed, power, frequency) based on material and design requirements.
Interpret and execute jobs from CorelDRAW, AutoCAD, Illustrator, or similar software linked to the Trotec JobControl system.
Ensure accurate alignment and positioning of materials for precise cutting/engraving.
Conduct trial runs and quality checks before mass production.
2. Material Handling & Process
Handle materials such as acrylic, wood, paper, textiles, MDF, and other compatible substrates.
Maintain material inventory and ensure proper storage.
Optimize cutting layouts to minimize waste.
Follow safety procedures for handling and disposing of materials.
3. Quality Control
Inspect finished products for accuracy, precision, and finishing.
Troubleshoot errors such as incomplete cuts, burns, or misalignment.
Ensure jobs are completed as per customer specifications and timelines.
4. Maintenance
Perform daily/weekly preventive maintenance of the machine (cleaning optics, exhaust system, lens, filters, etc.).
Report and coordinate for technical servicing or repairs when required.
Maintain logs of machine usage, downtime, and maintenance activities.
Skills & Competencies
Knowledge of laser cutting/engraving processes and materials.
Hands-on experience with design software (CorelDRAW, Illustrator, AutoCAD, etc.).
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to read and interpret job sheets, technical drawings, and layouts.
Problem-solving skills for troubleshooting machine and process issues.
Basic knowledge of safety protocols and machine handling.
