Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Machine Operator to join our production team. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery in our manufacturing unit, ensuring that machines run efficiently and produce high-quality products. You will work closely with supervisors and other operators to meet production targets, maintain safety standards, and ensure the overall smooth functioning of the production process.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate machinery and equipment according to the production schedule and job specifications. Set up and adjust machines based on production requirements, including loading materials, tools, and machine settings. Monitor the production process to ensure machines are functioning properly and producing products that meet quality standards. Perform routine maintenance on machines to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and resolve minor issues with machinery, adjusting settings or making minor repairs as necessary. Conduct quality checks at various stages of production, ensuring products meet required specifications and standards. Record machine performance, production data, and downtime accurately in logs or production tracking systems. Ensure all machines and work areas are kept clean and safe, adhering to safety protocols and company policies. Follow operating procedures and safety guidelines to minimize risks and maintain a safe working environment. Report any machine malfunctions, safety hazards, or production issues to supervisors or maintenance teams. Assist in inventory management by tracking materials used in production and notifying supervisors when supplies are low. Collaborate with other machine operators and production staff to meet production goals and deadlines. Participate in training programs to improve skills and knowledge of machinery and production processes.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification or training in machine operation is a plus). Proven experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing or production environment. Strong knowledge of operating different types of machinery, including CNC machines, lathes, mills, or automated production lines. Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical components of machines. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and production specifications. Good attention to detail and the ability to conduct quality checks on products. Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve machine-related issues. Good communication skills and the ability to work well with a team. Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols in a manufacturing environment. Physical stamina to work on your feet for extended periods and handle repetitive tasks. Ability to work in shifts, including night shifts, weekends, and overtime if needed.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with computer-controlled machines or automated equipment. Knowledge of quality control procedures and ability to conduct inspections. Familiarity with safety regulations and OSHA standards specific to manufacturing environments. Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain high levels of productivity. Certification in machine operation or any related vocational training.
