Job Summary

:

The Injection Moulding Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining injection moulding machines to produce plastic parts according to quality and safety standards. The operator ensures machines run smoothly, detects and resolves issues, and performs regular checks to maintain product consistency.

Key Responsibilities

:

Set up and start injection moulding machines, including loading materials and programming machine settings. Monitor machine operations and adjust parameters to maintain product quality and reduce waste. Perform quality checks on molded products using measuring tools (e.g., vernier calipers, micrometers). Identify and troubleshoot machine problems such as short shots, flash, or burn marks. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and moulds. Record production data such as output, downtime, and defects. Ensure adherence to safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Report any mechanical issues to maintenance or supervisors promptly. Work closely with the quality and production team to meet daily production targets. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the work area.

Required Qualifications and Skills

:

Minimum 10th/12th Pass or ITI in Mechanical/Plastic Processing (preferred). 0-3 years of experience in injection moulding operations (fresher can be considered for trainee roles). Knowledge of moulding machines like Arburg, Haitian, Ferromatik, Engel, etc. (as applicable). Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings and instructions. Basic troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude. Good physical condition and ability to stand for long hours. Awareness of safety standards and practices in manufacturing.

Working Conditions

:

Shift-based work (day/night). Standing and operating machinery for long durations. Exposure to noise and heat in the production area. May require lifting of moulds and machine parts (with assistance or equipment).
