Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled

Edge Banding Machine Operator

with at least 1 year of hands-on experience in furniture manufacturing. The candidate will be responsible for operating edge banding machines to apply edge bands to wooden panels, ensuring precision, durability, and quality in finishing.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate automatic and semi-automatic edge banding machines as per production schedules. Set up machine parameters such as temperature, speed, and pressure based on panel size and material. Load panels and edge banding material correctly and monitor the process during operation. Ensure proper bonding of edge tape to MDF/plywood/particle board panels without damage or misalignment. Inspect finished panels for quality, trimming accuracy, and smooth finish. Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of the edge banding machine. Report any mechanical or material issues to the supervisor for quick resolution. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area. Coordinate with the production team for timely output.

Skills & Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of experience operating edge banding machines in a furniture or woodworking unit. Familiarity with various edge band materials (PVC, ABS, veneer, etc.) and panel types. Basic troubleshooting knowledge for edge banding machine operations. Attention to detail and commitment to quality finishing. Ability to read measurements and handle tools efficiently. Team player with a positive attitude and work discipline.

Educational Qualification:

ITI / Diploma in Woodworking / Furniture Technology or equivalent technical field preferred.
