Job Description

A Machine Operator Assistant primarily supports machine operators in various manufacturing and production environments. Their duties include setting up machines, monitoring their operation, performing basic maintenance, and assisting with quality control and material handling. They work under the supervision of a machine operator and may also be involved in cleaning and maintaining equipment, as well as packing and dispatching finished products. Key Responsibilities: Assisting with Machine Setup: Preparing machines for operation according to production specifications. Monitoring Machine Operation: Observing machine performance, identifying issues, and reporting them to the machine operator or maintenance personnel. Performing Basic Maintenance: Cleaning machines, clearing jams, and performing minor repairs as needed. Quality Control: Assisting with inspecting finished products for defects and ensuring they meet quality standards. Material Handling: Moving materials to and from machines, ensuring a continuous workflow. Following Safety Protocols: Adhering to safety guidelines and workplace regulations. Skills and Abilities: Basic Technical Skills: Understanding of basic machine operation and maintenance procedures. Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks. Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks. Communication Skills: Effectively communicating with machine operators and other team members. Problem-Solving Skills: Identifying and troubleshooting basic machine issues.
