We're Hiring: Manager - Machine Shop (Centreless & Cylindrical Grinding)

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled

Manager - Machine Shop

with strong expertise in

Centreless Grinding, Cylindrical Grinding

, and precision machining operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the grinding department, ensuring production targets, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations of

Centreless Grinding & Cylindrical Grinding machines

. Plan, schedule, and monitor production to achieve output, quality, and delivery targets. Lead a team of operators, technicians, and supervisors in the grinding department. Ensure precision machining with minimum rejection and high accuracy. Manage

tooling, fixtures, and machine maintenance coordination

. Implement

process improvements, cycle time reduction, cost-saving initiatives

. Ensure adherence to

ISO, safety protocols, and quality control standards

. Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production Planning teams. Troubleshoot grinding issues, machine errors, and dimensional accuracy problems. Maintain documentation, job cards, and production MIS reports.

Education & Experience:

Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering

8-15 years

of hands-on experience in

Centreless Grinding & Cylindrical Grinding

operations Strong knowledge of

machine parameters, dressing, wheel selection, process setting

Experience in handling

high-precision components

(Automotive/Engineering industry preferred)

Skills Required:

Expertise in centreless grinding (through-feed, in-feed) Strong knowledge of surface finishing, tolerances, and GD&T Team handling & leadership skills Problem-solving and decision-making ability Knowledge of machine maintenance and preventive measures Good communication and reporting skills
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
