This role is part of the Special Purpose Machine (SPM) function at Kalwa, which is segmented into three core sub-functions: Mechanical, Electrical C OT (Operational Technology/OT), and


Manufacturing IT. Each sub-function has its respective leaders reporting to SPM head position.

ensuring successful execution of all electrical and OT-related aspects of machine design and implementation across the SPM function. The role demands a balance of team handling, and strategic alignment with organizational goals.

Engineering:

Lead the design and development of electrical systems using EPLAN, including panel manufacturing (in-house or outsourced), BOM review, costing, material planning, and execution.

Oversee the development and deployment of Operational Technology (OT) software, including PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming.

Drive standardization across electrical designs in Eplan, and OT programming for increased efficiency and quality.

Ensure projects meet target timelines, budgets, and quality standards from the electrical and OT perspective.

Lead and support Operational Technology (OT) team.

Plan work, manage resources, and review team performance.

Hold regular meetings with electrical teams to keep the team aligned with project goals and deadlines.

Alignment with external partners C CFT in case of outsourced projects.

Qualifications

and

Experience:

========================================

Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, ECTC, or a related engineering field. Over 15 years of experience in machine building and Operational Technology (OT) systems within the manufacturing industry. Hands on experience on Eplan electrical design, Panel Layout, BOM, electrical execution of the projects. Strong expertise in automation technologies including PLC/HMI, SCADA, robotics, machine vision, motion control, and electrical design using EPLAN. Hands-on experience with Siemens OT automation components such as S7-1200 and S7- 1500 CPUs, HMI, and SCADA systems. Proficient in integrating third-party automation hardware like servo motors, valve banks, power sources, oscilloscopes, and other industrial equipment. Knowledge of industrial robot and collaborative robot (cobot) programming, with experience in system integration for applications such as assembly and material handling. Practical understanding of industrial communication protocols including TCP/IP, PROFINET, PROFIBUS, RS-232, and others. Experience in integrating custom solutions like label printing systems, laser marking machines, and third-party device interfaces. Experience in handling network architecture related to IT-OT integration, platforms required for integrating machines with IT network like OPC UA, NedRED. Ability to manage and guide external vendors for system integration, concept development, and execution of outsourced projects. Practical experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including a wide range of valves and motion control systems such as Siemens and Festo, combined with troubleshooting skills.
