Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Design and specify static mechanical equipment (e.g., pressure vessels, columns, heat exchangers, storage tanks, separators, filters). Prepare datasheets, specifications, design calculations, material requisitions, and technical bid evaluations. Ensure equipment design compliance with applicable codes (ASME, API, TEMA, etc.), client specifications, and project standards. Coordinate with other disciplines (process, piping, instrumentation, civil/structural) to ensure integrated and clash-free designs. Review and approve vendor documents, drawings, and design calculations. Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, inspection, and installation stages. Perform mechanical design calculations including pressure thickness, nozzle reinforcement, wind and seismic loads, lifting and transportation analysis. Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, and FATs as required. Ensure timely delivery of engineering deliverables and technical support during construction and commissioning phases.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. 5+ years of experience in static equipment design in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Refinery projects. Strong knowledge of design codes and standards (ASME Section VIII, API 650/620, TEMA, etc.). Experience with engineering software such as PV Elite, Compress, AutoPIPE Vessel, or equivalent. Familiarity with 3D model review tools (e.g., Navisworks) and general CAD tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams

Preferred Qualifications:

Exposure to international projects and clients. Understanding of project lifecycle and document control procedures. Knowledge of international procurement practices and vendor interactions.
