Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and skilled Mechanical Equipment Static Engineer to join our team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of static mechanical equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with safety standards. The engineer will also oversee the inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance of equipment as required.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and analyze static mechanical equipment, including pressure vessels, storage tanks, heat exchangers, and piping systems. Perform calculations and stress analysis for equipment and materials based on industry standards. Develop and review engineering specifications and drawings for mechanical systems and equipment. Coordinate with other engineering teams to ensure proper integration of mechanical equipment with overall project design. Supervise installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical equipment. Conduct root cause analysis and provide technical solutions for mechanical failures or issues. Develop preventive maintenance schedules and ensure adherence to maintenance protocols. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, adhering to regulatory requirements. Review and approve material requisitions, supplier selections, and vendor documentation. Support procurement and logistics for mechanical equipment and parts. Prepare technical reports and documentation for audits and project reviews. Provide technical training and support to junior engineers and operational staff.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in static mechanical equipment engineering (experience with industrial plants is a plus). Strong knowledge of ASME, API, and other relevant codes and standards. Proficiency in mechanical design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools. Sound understanding of static equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping systems, and storage tanks. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental standards in mechanical engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications in mechanical engineering or specific codes (e.g., API, ASME). Experience in plant maintenance or operations is highly desirable. Knowledge of advanced materials and fabrication techniques.
