Lower Secondary English Teacher

who can inspire students through meaningful learning experiences and strong language-building skills.

Key Responsibilities

Teach

Cambridge English curriculum

for Lower Secondary (Grades 6-8) Plan engaging, age-appropriate, interdisciplinary lessons Build strong foundations in: Reading comprehension Creative & reflective writing Grammar & vocabulary Speaking & listening skills Encourage creativity through stories, literature, drama, poetry, and presentations Assess student progress using formative and summative assessments Maintain a warm, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment Collaborate with faculty to integrate

Waldorf-inspired methodologies

Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues Support student well-being and holistic growth

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's / Master's degree in English, Literature, Education, or related field Teaching certification / B.Ed preferred Experience teaching Grades 6-8 (Cambridge curriculum experience is an advantage) Strong command of English (spoken & written) Passion for creative, experiential, and child-centered teaching Openness to Waldorf-inspired learning approaches

Desired Skills

Creative and innovative teaching style Ability to connect with adolescents empathetically Classroom management and collaborative mindset Interest in literature, arts, storytelling, or theatre is an added advantage
