Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure 2. Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes 3. Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results 4. Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cyber security threats 5. Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and \xe2\x80\x98fixes\xe2\x80\x99 6. Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended 7. Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions Daily and Monthly Responsibilities 1. Deploy updates and fixes 2. Provide technical support 3. Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve experience 4. Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems 5. Perform root cause analysis for production errors 6. Investigate and resolve technical issues 7. Develop scripts to automate visualization 8. Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance . Pre-requisite skills required for a DevOps Engineer role include 1 .BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field 2. Experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar Infrastructure engineering role 3. Experience working on Linux based infrastructure 4. Excellent understanding of shell 5. Awareness of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles 6. Working knowledge in AWS cloud services & Docker & Jenkins (CL / CD) & Monitoring tools Configuration and managing databases such as MySQL, Mongo 7. Working knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services 8. Strong knowledge in Apache and Nginx Web servers 9.
