Job Description

The Logistics Tutor will deliver engaging, high-quality training sessions in logistics, warehousing, inventory management, supply chain and allied domains. The aim is to equip learners with both theoretical foundations and practical competencies aligned to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and deliver lessons (classroom / lab / online) on topics such as transportation, warehousing, inventory management, materials handling, procurement, supply chain operations. Prepare training materials, slides, hand-outs, case studies, assessments and practical exercises. Use real-world logistics software/tools (TMS, WMS, ERPs) or simulate operations for hands-on learning. Evaluate trainee progress via tests, practical assignments, project work; provide feedback and mentoring. Maintain a positive, interactive learning environment; manage classroom dynamics effectively. Stay updated on current logistics/supply chain trends, best practices, regulatory changes. Collaborate with the placement/academic team to link training outcomes to job opportunities. Assist in curriculum review and content updates periodically.
Qualifications & Skills

Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management or related field. Certifications such as Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (CILT) or Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM/APICS) or Lean Six Sigma would be a plus.

Experience:

Minimum 1-3 years in logistics operations / supply chain roles OR 1+ year in teaching/training in logistics domain. (Many listings in Calicut suggest 1 year teaching/industry experience as acceptable) Indeed+1 Ability to manage classroom or online sessions effectively.

Skills:

Excellent communication and presentation skills (English and/or Malayalam). Good knowledge of MS Office and/or relevant logistics software/tools. Strong conceptual understanding of logistics, warehousing, inventory, materials management. Ability to design interactive/hand-on sessions, evaluate learner progress, and mentor.
