Job Summary
The Logistics Site Supervisor is responsible for supervising day-to-day site logistics operations related to crane movements, heavy equipment handling, and renewable energy project execution. The role ensures smooth coordination of materials, vehicles, and manpower at site, maintaining safety, documentation accuracy, and timely support to windmill installation and heavy-lift activities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Logistics Supervision
Supervise daily logistics activities at project sites.
Ensure proper receipt, unloading, storage, and issue of materials.
Monitor crane mobilization, demobilization, and support logistics.
Coordinate loading and unloading of heavy equipment and components.
2. Transportation & Crane Coordination
Coordinate with transporters for timely placement of vehicles.
Support ODC / heavy cargo movement as per approved schedules.
Assist in route coordination, permits, and site readiness for movement.
3. Inventory & Stores Control
Maintain site-level stock registers and material issue records.
Ensure FIFO practices and proper identification of materials.
Support physical stock verification and discrepancy resolution.
4. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain logistics documents such as GRN, challans, LR, gate passes, and daily movement reports.
Submit daily and weekly logistics status updates to seniors.
Assist during audits and compliance checks.
5. Safety & Compliance
Ensure adherence to safety norms during crane operations and heavy lifting.
Enforce use of PPE and safe material handling practices.
Maintain housekeeping standards at site stores and logistics areas.
6. Team & Site Coordination
Supervise helpers, store assistants, and site logistics staff.
Coordinate with site engineers, crane operators, and rigging teams.
Resolve day-to-day site logistics issues promptly.
Key Skills & Competencies
Good understanding of site logistics and warehouse operations
Experience in crane logistics and heavy equipment handling
Knowledge of ODC transportation processes
Basic understanding of renewable energy / windmill projects
Strong coordination and communication skills
Ability to work independently at site
Working knowledge of MS Excel and basic ERP systems
Qualifications
Graduate / Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or relevant field
Experience
5-8 years of experience in logistics industry
Mandatory experience at project sites, crane logistics, or heavy equipment operations
Experience in renewable energy or infrastructure projects preferred
Working Conditions
Site-based role with extended working hours as per project needs
Exposure to outdoor and heavy equipment environments
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
