Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimise transportation, distribution, and warehousing processes. Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components to manufacturing plants. Manage inventory levels and ensure adequate stock levels of raw materials and finished goods to meet production and customer demand. Oversee the scheduling and routing of shipments to minimize transportation costs and optimize delivery times. Monitor and track logistics performance metrics, such as on-time delivery, transportation costs, and inventory accuracy. Implement and enforce safety and compliance standards for logistics operations, including adherence to regulatory requirements. Lead and develop a team of logistics professionals, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback as needed. Continuously assess and improve logistics processes and systems to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production, and sales, to ensure alignment of logistics activities with business objectives.

Professional Competencies:

Proven experience in logistics management, preferably in a

Chemical, Cement, Agrochem

manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of transportation and warehousing best practices, including knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify inefficiencies and implement solutions. Effective leadership and team management abilities, with experience in motivating and developing a diverse team of logistics professionals. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency in using logistics management software and systems to track shipments, manage inventory, and analyse data. Negotiation skills pertaining to ARCs or open market negotiations Experience with Rake movement Experience in EXIM logistics
