Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and manage all logistics operations (inbound and outbound). Optimize transportation and distribution networks to reduce costs and improve delivery efficiency. Oversee warehouse operations, including inventory accuracy, material handling, and storage. Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure smooth supply chain flow. Negotiate with transporters, freight forwarders, and other logistics service providers. Implement logistics strategies aligned with company objectives and customer requirements. Monitor and analyze key logistics KPIs (on-time delivery, freight cost, turnaround time, etc.). Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, E-way bills, and other statutory requirements. Manage logistics budgeting, cost control, and vendor performance evaluation. Lead and mentor logistics and warehouse teams for high productivity and safety compliance. Coordinate with project, procurement, and production teams for timely dispatch and delivery of materials. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in logistics processes and systems.

Qualifications and Skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).

Experience:

8-12 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or power systems industry. Strong knowledge of logistics software (ERP/SAP/WMS/TMS). Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Good understanding of statutory requirements related to logistics (GST, transport, etc.). Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
