Job Summary:

The Logistics Executive will be responsible for the end-to-end management of all import and export shipments. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth, compliant, and cost-effective movement of goods across borders. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in freight forwarding, customs clearance, and strong negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all shipping activities, from securing bookings with carriers to final delivery. Prepare and process all required documentation, including Bills of Lading, shipping instructions, and commercial invoices.

Solicit and negotiate freight quotes from various shipping lines, freight forwarders, and logistics providers to ensure the most cost-effective rates and best service.

Coordinate with customs house agents (CHAs) to ensure timely customs clearance for all shipments. Manage all import/export regulations, duties, and government schemes to ensure full compliance.

Actively track and monitor all shipments to prevent demurrage, detention, and other port charges. Analyze logistics costs and identify opportunities for optimization.

Maintain a complete and organized record of all shipping documents, invoices, and customs-related paperwork for audit purposes.

Act as the primary point of contact for freight forwarders, carriers, CHAs, and internal teams (sales, finance, and production) to ensure smooth communication and resolve any issues.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field.

A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a logistics role, specifically managing import and export for a manufacturing company. Experience with chemical or hazardous goods is a significant advantage.

In-depth knowledge of international trade terms (Incoterms), shipping documents, and customs procedures.Proven negotiation and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data tracking and analysis.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
